What a great time we had at our last meeting. As most of you know, we were “bumped” by the Mayor at the last minute and had to meet in the small room. Even though it got a little warm in there, we had a great turnout and managed just fine. A big thanks to Kim Brackett for her wonderful slide presentation on Spiderweb blocks. I felt much more encouraged to go home and try one out after seeing how simple it was. I hope to see some pop up in Show and Share in the months to come. This month we will meet in the big room around the corner. Don’t forget it’s another early Monday – we meet on the 24th which is the 4th Monday.
This month our program is brought by Cena Harmon. She is presenting a program called “Magic Placemats”. She is putting on her Crafting Hat and will show us how to make 4 placemats at once, just in time for Christmas. Or maybe for that person you keep promising to make a quilt for…..They would also be a great contribution to the Boutique.
Thanks for all your continuing encouragement and support. Remember to sign up to volunteer for the GGCAF in November. Also, consider saying “YES” if you are contacted by the nominating committee. You’ll never know if you can do it until you say yes. And if you’re brave enough, just call me and let me know you’d like to have a job in the Guild. We can’t do it without all of us working together.
I will see you on the 24th, come and bring a friend.
