Make Your Own Folded Star Hot Pad!    
PQG Member Gerri Dewey demonstrated making this block during our 2024 Round Robin meeting. Now Gerri will teach us how to make it, too!
      Only four (4) Fat Quarters (or equivalent amount) are needed to make the star, plus a 9-inch square for the backing and 27 inches of 1-1/2 inch bias binding. Make certain that your three center fabrics have the right contrast—that's what defines the star!
      The hot pad will be roundish (octagon), but if you want to make a square, add enough fabric to cut four (4) 7-inch squares.
        You will also need a 9-inch square of batting or Insul Bright.

There will be a $1.00 charge for the pattern that Gerri is providing. And we will have the Insul Bright needed for $1.00 each. Both will be payable with cash at the SOS event.

SUPPLIES:
• small iron and ironing mat (to save time at the ironing board)
• your "must have" rulers, cutter, etc.
• sewing machine, power cord, thread, standard supplies
PQG provides irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, a couple of cutters.
