Learn to make two classic basket blocks!
—simple patterns—perfect points–precise corners—

Outgoing PQG President Judy Pinkston has chosen two classic basket patterns as her honorary President's block. This SOS will focus on basic techniques for making the two blocks—four-patch, half-square triangles, and appliqué. Judy would like us to use 1930s reproduction fabrics—plus no fabrics that are primarily red. We will cover the basics of fabric cutting, piecing, and two different ways of making "handles."

Bring your own "repro" and background fabrics. We will have limited fabric pieces to share. We will have ample whites/neutrals for the background fabric. We will have a very small collection for reproduction fabrics that Judy prefers.
You will need to bring regular sewing equipment/supplies. Irons and cutting mats will be provided.
SUPPLIES:
• small iron and ironing mat (to save time at the ironing board)
• your "must have" rulers, cutter, etc.

• sewing machine, power cord, thread, standard supplies
PQG provides irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, a couple of cutters.
