Hexagon Mug Rugs

Many PQG members requested this for an SOS at the Christmas party celebrations. So here is your opportunity to learn a quick and easy technique. Cena Harmon will guide us in making this delightful mug rug. If you come to the SOS, a kit will be provided to you, free of charge.

If you want to make one from your own fabrics, bring two (2) 6-inch x WOF strips of two contrasting colors (i.e. a print and a solid or two prints that play off each other for constrast).

Supplies required for class:

Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal. If you bring your own fabric, bring thread to match, otherwise, a light gray (or white) will work. Bring regular notions including a seam ripper, scissors, nippers, pins/clips, a washable fabric marker (or frixion pen), a small ruler (at least 1in x 12in ). If you have a ¼-inch seam ruler (Add-A-Quarter ruler), bring that. If not, your small ruler will do the trick.

PQG provides irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, a couple of cutters.
